What is Poly-Identity? Applying Intersectionality to Business
Jahan has led keynote addresses at design conferences and been featured on podcasts from Design Better to Tech Wrap Queen. She is a former adjunct professor at NYU where she co-created and co-taught Intro to Inkblot Design™ to graduate students. She is the recipient of the Kate Spade and Company Fellowship as a former member of The New Museum Incubator, NEW INC. a cultural incubator dedicated to supporting innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship across art, design, and technology.
Jahan is a born and raised New Yorker and loves sharing that fact…even when no one else cares! She’s never not reading two to four books simultaneously, summer is her favorite season, and as her younger sister tells her – she suffers from “eldest daughter syndrome” (if you know, you know). Nourishing conversations and good food make her come alive.
Jahan is the co-founder of Joyous Rebellion, an experiential design company that creates soulful low-tech and high-impact intimate events that are “an antidote to the internet”. Partnering with dynamic industry leaders and people-first organizations, Joyous Rebellion creates bespoke, intimate gatherings centered around a meaningful theme and meal, leaving attendees feeling expansive and uplifted. Our flagship gatherings are evocative, narrative-forward experiences with multiple acts, playing on an alchemy of sense memory, intuition, creativity, and play.
